August 27th Car Wash Fundraising for the Meadowvale West Scout Groups 

The 1st and 3rd Meadowvale West Scout Groups are holding a fundraiser to send their Scouts to the Canadian Scout Jamboree in 2017. Drop by their fundraising CAR WASH  Saturday, Aug 27, 2016 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at Eden United Church (corner of Winston Churchill Blvd. and Battleford Road) to get a good car wash and help the youth of our community at the same time.

August 31st Opening of New Park at Tenth Line and Aquataine

Come out and bring your family to the new park that will be open to the public on Wednesday August 31st. The park will have something for all ages and will contain a skate park, small water feature for cooling, playground, pavilion, game tables, benches,paths, adult fitness equipment, leash free dog park and improved toboggan hill.

The official grand opening of the new yet to be named park will be held on Saturday September 24th 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Come out for a day of FREE  games, skateboard demos, basketball, BBQ, popcorn, displays, crafts, games, inflatables and more.  Councillor Pat Saito will be giving out a free souvenir frisbee to the first 500 people.  

September 13th - Free Annual Seniors' Fair 

Everyone is welcome at the  FREE Annual Seniors’ Fair at the Meadowvale Community Centre, 6655 Glen Erin Drive on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon. There will be over 35 booths full of information, giveaways, entertainment and refreshments.

September 6th  -Meadowvale Community Centre and Library is open to the public

The Meadowvale Community Center will be open to the public on September 6th.  It is an amazing facility that will become and asset to the Meadowvale community.  The renovated community centre will provide the community with additional recreation programs, home to the Meadowvale Library, larger fitness program area,meeting rooms, program spaces, gym and a therapeutic pool.

The MRA is honoured to be requested by our local Councillor Pat Saito to participate in the planning of the reopening ceremonies at the Meadowvale Community Centre and Library with a planned opening on October 22nd 2016.

Future Food Drive (September 2016)

The MRA is in discussions with a local grocery store, Eden Food for Change and our  Councillor Pat Saito to host a food drive at the end of September 2016.  Our first food drive was such a success due to all the efforts of our local residents and volunteers.  If you would be interested in volunteering for this event, please send an email to
